In the organizer's words:
On June 2, 1902, the Hilbersdorf marshalling yard was officially opened.
For 95 years, it served as a central hub for freight traffic. Without the marshalling yard, there would be no Railway Museum!
That is why, on this day, the former marshalling yard and its technical facilities will be the focus of our activities.
Look forward to: the field and customs railway, handcar rides, the model train workshop, a tour of the 44-series locomotive cab / "Taiga Drum," the car turnaround, the engine house, and our family tour. There will also be food and drinks available.
