The Tajsa Prize embodies the founding principles of ERIAC - European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture e. V. and the importance of the history and cultural heritage of the Rom*nja and Sinti*zze. At the same time, the prize looks ahead and shapes and reinvents forms of cultural expression of Rom*nja and Sinti*zze for the next generations. The award is intended to honor outstanding Roma personalities who are leading voices in the Roma cultural movement today. It is intended to enhance the pride and self-esteem of Rom*nja and Sinti*zze, as well as to promote the creativity, virtuosity and talent of Roma cultural practitioners.
The award ceremony will take place on 30/November 2023 at the Maxim Gorki Theater, accompanied by performances by outstanding and internationally renowned flamenco and Roma artists*.
The Tajsa Award ceremony is organized by ERIAC - European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture e. V.. The association is a unique transnational organization at the European level for the recognition of the art and culture of the Rom*nja and Sinti*zze.
