On Friday, July 4, at 6:00 pm, there will be a workshop / curator talk with Titus Ackermann and Anna Sarvira. They will give us exclusive insights into their work and their approach to the current political situation. The event is part of the supporting program of the current exhibition "UKRAINE COMICS".
Anna Sarvira (born 1986, from Kyiv) is an illustrator and co-founder of the Pictoric Illustrators Club (2014 with Oleg Gryshchenko and Olena Staranchuk). She is also the art director of "Brave Bunnies" and works with children's books and animation, among other things. Her main topics include human rights, domestic violence and animal rights.
Titus Ackermann, born 1970 in Basel (Switzerland), is a founding member and editor of the comic magazine MOGA MOBO. He studied illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and at the Macintosh School of Art in Glasgow. He has been living and working in Berlin since 1999, and since 2000 in the MOGA MOBO studio with the other two MGMB creators Jonas and Thomas.
He works as a freelance illustrator and character designer for magazines, publishing houses and large advertising agencies. For the schauraum he supports the schauraum as curator for the current exhibition "UKRAINE COMICS".
