Moving Bodies - Festival for dance on the deep lake

The Oxymoron Dance Company's summer dance spectacle on the lake stage at Tiefen See has already become a tradition in Schiffbauergasse. And this year we are once again opening the stage to young international dancers and choreographers.

We are looking forward to the first edition of Moving Bodies - Festival for Dance at the Deep Lake.

The Moving Bodies festival follows the idea of presenting different artistic perspectives and forms of expression. Encounters, changes of perspective, a play of diverse thoughts, all this through dance, to enter into an exchange and to inspire, encourage and respect each other.

From the Rio de la Plata to the Deep Lake / International Tango Gala

"Volcano of sensuality... perfect harmony... brilliant show... symphony of tension, elegance and expression..." This is what the press wrote about the tango interpretations of Argentinian dancer Celia Millán and Potsdam dancer Michael Ihnow. After appearances at the Berlin State Opera, with the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra in Moscow and at the Teatro Argentino in Argentina, the dance couple will once again be performing their tangos and international guests on the lake stage at Tiefen See Potsdam.

TANGO OHNE GRENZEN invites Argentinian and German musicians and dancers to celebrate the TANGO in all its facets and to enchant the audience. The renowned orchestra TANGO MISTERIO, which has already accompanied TANGO OHNE GRENZEN in Argentina, will perform.

In addition to traditional tangos, there will also be music by tango rebel Astor Piazzolla. Michael Ihnow and Celia Millán have already paid tribute to the inventor of tango nuevo with the music and dance theater PIAZZOLLA TANGO. Now they want to celebrate PIAZZOLLA and TANGO again with a summer open-air gala.

After the gala concert, the audience is invited to dance at the milonga and enjoy the summer night at the deep lake.
