In the organizer's words:

An evening that builds bridges between continents, eras and musical worlds: As part of the Sol Gabetta & Friends festival, the Gabetta Consort, under the direction of Sol Gabetta's brother Andrés, together with virtuoso bandoneon player Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, dedicate themselves to the fascinating combination of baroque and Argentinian tango. The focus is on the "Four Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi and Astor Piazzolla - two cycles that bring the changes in nature to life musically in very different ways. Even though Sol Gabetta will not be on stage this evening, her signature is palpable: in her family ties, her artistic passion and her openness to pushing musical boundaries.
