Tanztriennale 2026: Chiara Frigo - A Human Song

Performance as part of the Tanztriennale Hamburg, June 14 - 21, 2026

World premiere
This large-scale participatory art project involves people from Hamburg and the region of different ages, cultures and backgrounds. The poetic event explores the power of the body: a sea of people moving through the meditative act of walking and running together, supporting and accompanying each other, lying down on the ground, rebelling and getting up again. "A Human Song" is inspired by walking without a destination. Starting from a single spatial movement, a wave of people moves from one end to the other and then begins again - in an individual and collective circular movement. Ene choreographic score brings together artists and local communities to share paths of collective creation. The performance aims to initiate processes of building temporary communities to be mutually supportive and inclusive.
