Performance as part of the Tanztriennale Hamburg, June 14 - 21, 2026

In "Unearth", Jefta van Dinther brings together ten dancers in a reduced choreography for body and voice. In his characteristic interdisciplinary style, which reflects his extensive repertoire of knowledge about human behavior and the associated ecosystems, Jefta van Dinther questions our urge to constantly feel anew. The focus is on the human desire to revive the past and the longing to repeat what we have experienced. "Unearth" shows the sheer inexhaustible mental and physical resourcefulness of the body. The immersive durational performance captivates the audience through the intensity of repetition and invites them to linger in introspective leisure. "Unearth" explores the body as material and highlights belonging, meaning and mortality as social and spiritual constructs.
