Tanztriennale 2026: Julien Carlier - Beton

In the organizer's words:

Performance as part of the Tanztriennale Hamburg, June 14 - 21, 2026

German premiere

"BETON" enters the world of skateparks, exploring their architecture, use and creative forms of expression. At the interface between breakdancing and skateboarding, the piece uses reliefs and curves, reveals the physical and poetic power of these urban spaces and questions how bodies move, encounter and reinvent themselves in them. The performers explore the shapes and volumes of the skatepark, play with the expanse and boundaries of the terrain and create choreographic compositions from them. Members of the local skateboard community will also be part of the performance.
