Performance as part of the Tanztriennale Hamburg, June 14 - 21, 2026
"POLIPOLIS" is a performative, intergenerational audio walk that takes place in Hamburg's city center. Equipped with headphones, rucksacks and city maps, participants discover new images and ideas for living together in the city. They observe choreographies and small scenes of mythological chimeras, listen to stories from Hamburg's history and become active themselves by trying out poses and dance steps.
"POLIPOLIS" is a utopian city - a city of dreams, in which urbanity and nature belong together, animals find their place, cars have disappeared and children and young people have the freedom to express their feelings. As if in an analog form of augmented reality, or as if on a secret journey, the audience moves through the urban space together with four dancers and two guides. Even random passers-by become spectators and are invited to become part of the action.
