African soul, folk, jazz and Afro-fusion at Brauereihof Härle: On Saturday, June 20, Zimbabwean songwriter and guitarist Tariro neGitare will be performing open-air on the ramp in front of the Leutkirch brewery.
Rooted in African identity and at the same time with a global perspective, her art is based on authenticity, reflection and human connection. The name "neGitare" - meaning "with the guitar" - sums up the core of her performance style. The guitar is at the center of their music: warm, intimate, rhythmic and expressive. Their sound carries the emotional honesty of African folk traditions and at the same time combines this with modern influences from Afro-soul, world music and alternative African music movements.
Beyond pure entertainment, Tariro's music and creative projects reflect a broader creative and social consciousness. Her work addresses issues such as cultural preservation, collaboration, youth empowerment and the development of the African creative economy. She sees art not only as performance, but also as a tool for dialog, storytelling and building meaningful connections between people and communities.
Tariro neGitare represents a generation of African creatives who are redefining what it means to be an independent artist: multidisciplinary, community-oriented, globally connected and deeply rooted in their homeland. Her music is not just something you hear - it is something you experience.
