The young and ambitious Iranian judoka Leila (Arienne Mandi) travels to the Judo World Championships in Tbilisi together with her coach Maryam (Zar Amir). Her biggest dream: to bring home the first gold medal for Iran. When, during the course of the competition
she could face a rival from Israel, the Tehran regime becomes nervous.
To avoid the humiliation of a possible defeat, Leila is given an ultimatum: She is to fake an injury and pull out of the competition. Should she refuse and continue to fight, she would immediately be considered a traitor to the state. Leila has to make a serious decision that affects not only herself, but also her family in Iran and her coach, whose freedom and safety are also at stake.
