The TAU ENSEMBLE combines the centuries-old traditions of maqam with the freedom of jazz and the rhythms of the eastern Mediterranean. At the interface of world music, improvised music and contemporary soundscapes, a lively interplay of composition and improvisation is created that builds bridges between cultures, times and musical traditions.

In the duo project "Oud Dates Cuatro", the Chilean musician Susana Schnell and the Syrian musician Adonis Fatra combine the sound worlds of cuatro and oud. The encounter between oriental and Latin American music gives rise to new harmonies that transcend cultural boundaries and build musical bridges.

Driven by mutual respect, curiosity and sensitivity, the two artists develop a unique dialog between their instruments and traditions. "Oud Dates Cuatro" stands for musical diversity, imagination and the joy of discovering new worlds of sound together.
