This day is all about sustainability. The focus is on swapping items and the clothing swap party. Instead of buying new clothes or having things made—and using up resources and energy in the process—we prefer to swap: We discover new favorite pieces and find beautiful items that can enrich our homes. For us, it’s all about sharing good things and discovering new treasures—without spending a single cent.

This swap fest takes place outside in the parking lot in front of the community center.

Clothing Swap Party

Instead of using up resources and energy to produce clothing, we’d rather swap and discover new favorite pieces.

Here’s how to join in: Bring a maximum of 10 clean and still-wearable items of clothing. Place them—whether jackets, pants, or skirts—on the appropriate table, and let the fun begin! If you find 10 items to take home, all the better.  If you take fewer items home, we’ll donate the rest to fairKauf.

Swapping Items

In addition to the clothing swap party, we’re also offering a section that day focused on the joy of giving and swapping! For us, it’s all about sharing good things and discovering new treasures without spending a cent. Just bring along anything you no longer need but is far too good to throw away.

We accept only items that can be carried in one hand. These might include, for example:

• decorations, lamps, books, vases, pictures, picture frames, children’s toys, board games, party games, DVDs/CDs, flower pots, small pieces of furniture, pet supplies, and tools.

We do not accepted:

No weapons, no safety-related items (e.g., bicycle helmets, child car seats, etc.), no adult-only items, no broken items, no large pieces of furniture, no electrical appliances.

You can drop off your items in advance on the following days: August 17 through August 21, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day.
