Keyboard lions among themselves

Weimar, where piano virtuoso Franz Liszt once lived and worked, is still one of the most important training centers for young pianists today. It is no wonder that Mikhail Kambarov was also drawn here: at the age of 16, he attended the music high school here and promptly won the national "Jugend musiziert" competition. In the meantime, he has won many important prizes, received a coveted scholarship from the German Foundation for Musical Life and studied with Michail Lifits. At the Laeiszhalle, he devotes himself entirely to the 19th century and its piano stars: Schumann, Beethoven and Chopin composed many works that are still a must in the repertoire of concert pianists today.
