Telmo Pires: Fado Variações

"In your voice, we have the voice of all of us", says a tribute to the great Amália Rodrigues. With "Fado Variações", Telmo Pires presents his new program and pays homage to one of the greats of his native Portugal: António Variações, singer-songwriter of the 1980s and one of the most important artists in recent Portuguese history. Telmo Pires has dedicated his new songs to this artist on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of his death and traces this artistic personality with further song arrangements. The "Saudade", this uniquely Portuguese feeling, is always a silent companion and takes us into the cosmos of Fado. This concert promises to be another great fado evening about António Variações and Telmo Pires - whose voice gets under our skin, so that we will have it in our ears, perhaps even in our hearts, for a long time after this evening. Telmo Pires will be accompanied by Miguel Conchinha (Portuguese guitar), Mauro Resende (guitar) and Pedro Sousa (bass guitar).
