In the organizer's words:

Course description

Want to let off steam creatively or learn something new? Then this three hour terrazzo workshop is perfect for you. You'll learn the basics and techniques of casting with Jesmonite and end up taking home your own jewelry bowl or set of terrazzo coasters.

During the workshop you will design your own custom color palette and learn how to mix Jesmonite and add pigments, how to pour into a silicone mold and finally how to sand and finish.

The material we will be working with is a non-toxic, environmentally friendly composite. We will also use some water-based pigments and wax for finishing.

Our artwork will take a short time to cure, so there will be some small breaks in between where refreshments and snacks will be provided.

What to expect:

  • After a warm welcome, a small theoretical session will follow.
  • I will explain how to mix plaster-like, environmentally friendly composite material.
  • After that you are allowed to work
  • Of course I will be at your side with help and advice
