TERROR
In the organizer's words:
When this movement first emerged, no one could have imagined the direction hardcore would take. And in the early 2000s, no one would have thought that a band like TERROR would still be among the most influential bands in the subgenre 24 years after its inception. Their aggression, paired with a love and appreciation for the scene—which so many have passed through and left behind, or even forgotten entirely—has been the key to their success. Now they present their tenth album, “STILL SUFFER,” which will be released on April 24 via Flatspot Records.
Formed in Los Angeles, California, at a time when the hardcore scene needed a band to set things straight again—as the genre had gone off the rails—TERROR stormed onto the scene, immediately set the standard, and never let up.
In collaboration with producer (and former guitarist) Todd Jones, the band created ten fast, aggressive, and unflinching tracks that explore the themes that have made TERROR so influential from the very beginning. Songs about self-empowerment, survival, and the relentless will to face challenges head-on—grounded in the values and support found within these walls.
“STILL SUFFER” was completed with sound engineering and additional production work by Taylor Young at The Pit Recording Studio, mixed by Jon Markson, and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, with Jay Zubricky at GCR Audio handling the additional vocal recording and Taylor Young and Oliver Roman at Studio 606 handling the drum recording. Guest vocalists on the album include Jay Peta of Mindforce on “Beauty in the Losses,” Brody King of God’s Hate and Dan Seely of King Nine on “Deconstruct It,” as well as Chuck Ragan of Hot Water Music, who delivers a powerful vocal performance on “Fear The Panic”—a song that was also co-produced by Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory.
From the very beginning, TERROR has never turned its back on the things that have made this band so vibrant since its inception. With the release of “STILL SUFFER,” it’s clear that the band shows no signs of slowing down and is successfully continuing its mission to deliver authentic hardcore and show the world that this is about much more than just music. This community and movement—which no one can truly put into words—is exactly where the energy comes from that drives TERROR to keep building and growing with “STILL SUFFER.”
“Nothing ever changes; you’re just as broken as I am.”
