After a triumphant year of live performances in 2025, The Boxer Rebellion return to select stages on March 27, 2026 with the release of their album "The Second I'm Asleep" - an album that shows the band in their full bloom. The ten songs explore the emotional facets of life: moments of clarity in chaos, letting go of old demons and the art of understanding ourselves in a rapidly changing world. Born out of an intense creative frenzy, the sessions were based on a clear challenge: to use instinct rather than analysis and create music full of energy, spontaneity and authenticity. Nathan Nicholson, Adam Harrison, Piers Hewitt and Andrew Smith have created a musical statement that is vital, genuine and deeply human.

Nicholson's distinctive voice interweaves catchy melodies with the band's precise and powerful soundscapes, resulting in an album of sumptuous sonority and grace. A great deal of time and energy has been invested to ensure that the sound of the album is in no way inferior to its message. The band enlisted the help of world-class sound engineers Rees Broomfield, Billy Bush and Kevin Grainger to create an album that sounds fantastic on both car stereos and high-end speakers.
