Johnny Cash lives on through his music. The Cashbags pay tribute to his work with respect, attitude, and their own unique style. Nothing is copied exactly, yet everything is authentic, live, and true to the spirit of the original era.

With their current program, HELLO, WE’RE THE CASHBAGS!, the band continues its concert series THE JOHNNY CASH SHOW, expanding it with new theatrical elements, an even more compelling narrative structure, and a broad narrative arc spanning from the early Sun Records years to the late songs of American Recordings.

The role of Johnny Cash is played by American Robert Tyson, who bears a striking resemblance to his role model both vocally and physically. At his side: Valeska Kunath as June Carter Cash, as well as Stephan Ckoehler, David Seezen, and Willie Sieger as The Tennessee Three.

Special moments emerge in stripped-down trio passages without drums, in intimate solo sequences, and in the varied repertoire, inspired by the performances of numerous global stars on “The Johnny Cash TV Show.”
