The Ceili Family – THIR(S)TY YEARS OF SILLY FOLK – FRÜHER PFEFFI DAY ZUM 30. BANDGEBURTSTAG

In the organizer's words:

"They don't wear flowered satin pants, have different fathers and know what 8×4 is..." - that's what it says in the Ceili Family's first band info in 1996. At the time, an extended Irish family was keeping the pedestrian zones of the republic in suspense. Also in Hagen. Where, according to legend, they are chased away by law enforcement officers because important permits are missing...

Fortunately, the Hagen combo with the strikingly similar name was spared this fate. But so many weird things have happened in 30 years: Concerts on flat-bottomed ships, in many pubs and taverns... Fine festival stages in Germany and, for example, in Holland (including Keltfest) are also on the list...

The Ceilis also like to return to the scene of the crime. Around Hohenlimburg Castle, for example. The Hagen Ir(r)en have been the house band at the Keltic Festival for years. And they are also part of the line-up for Celtic Night at the Hohenlimburg Castle Festival year after year.

After ten St. Patrick's Day concerts in Werdringen moated castle, the move to the Pelmke. Since then, Paddy Day has increasingly become "Pfeffi Day" in the legendary Wehringhausen cultural center. The green liqueur fits perfectly in terms of color, provides fresh breath and one or two donations for the Pelmke!

The plan for the thirtieth? To continue exactly as before! With lots of fun music - the songs of Shane MacGowan, his Pogues, the Dubliners, Christy Moore and the rest of the Irish mouth organ. With many old and new songs in ceili's own repertoire, which has grown steadily over the years.

Celebrating every concert as if it were the very first...or the very last! Uncompromisingly ensuring a good time for everyone! That's the goal!
