The live concerts of The Chap from London and Berlin are like cult happenings. Their complex, chasing and enormously entertaining post-everything songs are played by Keith, Panos, Claire, Berit and Johannes as if there were no tomorrow. How the band manages to master choreographic elements besides all the sweaty music production remains their secret. A lot of fun, not only for the most loyal of fans!
The Chap have a musical background in pop, rock, post-atonal piano music, free improvisation and classical music. Their live show is extremely tight and intense, so you don't know what the hell is going on, but enjoy every second.
The Chap have created an oeuvre of seven fun and interesting self-produced pop albums: The Horse (2003), Ham (2005), Mega Breakfast (2008), Well Done Europe (2010), We Are Nobody (2012), The Show Must Go (2015) and Digital Technology (2020), which have been praised by Pitchfork, The Quietus, NME and The Wire, as well as major European publications such as Les Inrocks, Musikexpress, Spex, etc.
