THE LOMBEGO SURFERS - finally back with us!
Trends wash many rock bands ashore only to drown them with the next wave.
Not so the Lombego Surfers:
The three warriors from Boston and Basel have been riding through Europe since 1989.
Currents leave them cold.
They just follow the buccaneer flags that Dirk Bonsma draws on their bones.
Where they dock, there is usually no gold to be found. But a barrel of rum, whisky or beer is enough for the trio to instigate a hefty surf'n'roll mutiny.
Too sweaty, rough and dirty?
Go eat shit and die!
With guitar, bass and drums, they conquer city after city, which is why the press recently gave them titles such as "Legends of Passion" or "The Gods of the Underground".

Uuhhhhh, spooky - but not undeserved.
Just at a time when other cult bands such as Dead Moon are pulling up stakes, the Lombegos' mission is gaining in importance:
Keep it real and stripped down to the bones!

The Lombego Surfers are not tanned surfer dudes from California, but the hardest working voodoo rock freebooters with the catchiest guitar riffs since the Stooges.

The rock'n'roll street is just going out, the few bars and clubs on the street are known by heart, the beer is always cold and the last man standing clears the bones from the street.

ManisOnFire
stands for honest and exclusive rock and roll with depth - sometimes driving and loud, sometimes balladic and atmospheric. Since their formation in 2008, the band from Freiburg has established their very own style: "Manic Twang", as their friends the Lombego Surfers once called it.
And now they are back together on the city's most beautiful stage!

The focus is on songwriter Manis, whose songs are characterized by personal intensity, emotional turmoil and a fine sense of dynamics.
What once began solo quickly became a band: drummer Benjamin Berthold brought the necessary pressure, bassist Matze Faller the foundation - the beginning of a long-standing musical relationship from which the first album "Ode to Solitude" emerged in 2009.

With the addition of guitarist Gregor Jehle (known from the Liquid Laughter Lounge Quartet), the sound opened up - more spherical, deeper, sometimes almost cinematic.
The album Old Stories, New Sorrows was released in 2014.
Since 2016, Dr. Patrick Hesse (Assorted Nails, among others) has been on drums, lending the sound additional power and precision.

ManisOnFire unfold their full range live:
from raw rock'n'roll to almost fragile balladry, from desperate rage to melancholic expansiveness.

Three studio albums - most recently The World Spinning 'round Without You (2019) - impressively document this path.
ManisOnFire is not an off-the-peg rock band.
They tell stories - and do so with soul, style and twang.
