THE NEW SILICON VALLEY

In the organizer's words:

With THE NEW SILICON VALLEY, DESLOCAR creates a poetic, dystopian sci-fi with a solar-punk look. Inspired by the Ruhr and other mining regions, the multimedia performance transfers mining into the human body. Bones become gold, data becomes raw materials - a powerful metaphor for digital extractivism, social inequality and techno-feudal power. With humor, irony and migrant perspectives, the production shows the dark side of technological progress and poses provocative questions: Who pays the price for digital utopias? Would you sell your arm to afford a house? Or hand over your data for life in exchange for a year's vacation in the Bahamas?
