A concert as a journey - full of curiosity, expression and experimentation, just like in your own childhood. In the middle of the exhibition Kinder, Kinder! we invite you to a special concert experience together with the orchestra in the stairwell: We take a stroll through the pictorial worlds of the exhibition and the soundscapes of the orchestra. Between colors and sounds, improvisations and masterpieces of classical music, the musicians offer surprising interpretations and musical reflections of selected pictures.

In small and changing ensembles - with flute, oboe, bassoon and accordion - the musicians move through the exhibition rooms and open up new perspectives on the theme of childhood and its artistic representation. As in painting, childhood has also become an important theme and inspiring motif in music over the centuries. Sometimes vulnerable, sometimes wondrous and energetic - with the help of works by Debussy, Ligeti and Bach, a sensitive interplay between music and image is created.
