THE ROCKET is a band of four musicians from Sweden and Estonia. At the center is the Swedish bassist and cellist Svante Söderqvist, who writes the music and leads the band. He plays double bass and cello and sometimes sings without words.
He is joined by Tuulikki Bartosik, who plays accordion and works with subtle electronic effects. Adam Forkelid on piano and Fredrik Rundqvist on drums complete the band.
Together they combine jazz, acoustic music and electronic sounds. The music thrives on the interplay of old and new, familiar and unfamiliar.
