The Swingin’ Hermlins: The Music Goes Round And Around

The American music of the 20s and 30s - authentic in sound, look and equipment! Open Air.

Swing was the music of the Great Depression in the 1930s. Desperate people listened to it because it gave them hope. And so Andrej Hermlin and his fellow musicians decided in March 2020 to keep playing until the pandemic is over! Every evening at 7 pm sharp until May 2022, "The Swingin' Hermlins" presented authentic swing from the 1930s live via the internet for half an hour, in changing small line-ups, with friends, with musicians who love Benny Goodman, or Basie, or Miller, or Lunceford.

The band plays - except for the vocals - unamplified, as was customary at the time. Wardrobe, desks, microphones and instruments are originals or perfect copies.

Thousands of people around the world now follow their (no longer regular) broadcasts on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. The first half hour of the concert will also be streamed live at Globe Berlin. https://theswinginhermlins.de/
