In the organizer's words:

After Dark Bird Is Home (2015), described by Pitchfork as "most personal record... surreal and dreamlike" and the self-released I Love You, It's a Fever Dream (2019), Kristian Matsson returned in 2022 with the artful cover album Too Late for Edelweiss. In 2023, he finally presented his sixth album, Henry St. - his first album to be recorded with a full band line-up. Produced by Nick Sanborn (Sylvan Esso) and accompanied in the studio by musician friends such as Ryan Gustafson, TJ Maiani, CJ Camerieri, Rob Moose, Phil Cook (both Bon Iver) and Adam Schatz.

"They understood exactly what my songs needed-sounds I could never have imagined or created on my own. Many tracks were recorded live in the studio, with everyone playing together, having fun, and staying open to the moment".

In recent years, The Tallest Man on Earth has played solo concerts as well as appearances with renowned orchestras such as the Amsterdam Sinfonietta and the Gävle Symphony Orchestra.

In May 2026, Matsson will return to Hamburg for an exclusive concert in Germany as part of his solo tour, performing his songs in the special ambience of the Christianskirche.
