Where is your attention in everyday life? What really counts? The Truth About Eve stands for honesty and humanity. Abstract and direct lyrics delve deep into the inner life of man. They take a critical look at Western society. The spoken word or the sung melody is embedded in spherical, expansive soundscapes alternating with funky grooves. Metrically free and modal passages are juxtaposed with complex harmonies, rhythmic shifts and odd time signatures. Elements of jazz, funk and artpop are fused together. Since summer 2023, The Truth About Eve has been performing regularly in northern Germany (Jazzkitchen, Linden Sessions Hannover, Jazzhall Hamburg). The music full of contrasts shakes you awake and encourages you. With Bukemia, a new formation enters the Hamburg music scene. Consisting of Alex Petratos on drums, Nikolas Oberländer on bass clarinet and Denny Seidel on keys, Bukemia wants to open up a new space between club and concert. With their mixture of spiritual jazz and jungle, the musicians combine their expressive, instrumental expertise with the hypnotic nature of the club, the trance of the groove - constantly in search of the perfect loop. They will be supported by Sven Suchowski, who will atmospherically design the evening with versatile visuals.
