THE VICES - BEFORE IT MIGHT BE GONE TOUR

The Vices bring a high-contrast mix of Britpop and surf rock. Imagine if Cage The Elephant and The Strokes had a child together with a stage energy reminiscent of the early Chili Peppers. These are big names, but above all, The Vices always stay true to themselves. With childlike fun and unstoppable ambition, they can effortlessly play tight and explosive or playful and danceable. All this has led to their club tours selling out and Nothing But Thieves taking The Vices to the big stages of Europe as a support act. The hype won't stop and is now spreading to the USA, where the band completed their first headlining tour of 26 shows in 2024.

The Vices are four young men with a special friendship. They are all completely different, but that is precisely their strength. Different backgrounds can clash, but in the case of The Vices they provide a source of inspiration and motivation. Being in a band together is an adventure, especially in the case of The Vices, where exciting live performances and great opportunities follow each other in quick succession. And it's all self-enforced by the energy to work hard and the will to challenge themselves, and based on a deep friendship where everything that happens is processed through making music.

This work ethic has brought The Vices to where they want to be. Dutch radio station 3FM named the band 3FM Talent after the band successfully supported Yungblud at their first shows. They were also invited to be the house band in the TV show M (NPO1) at the end of 2021. The band performed 18 times, and it was here that American singer Gregory Porter praised The Vices for the best cover of his hit Liquid Spirit he had ever heard. The debut album Looking For Faces even reached number 1 in the Dutch vinyl charts and their music is streamed millions of times on Spotify. The band played festivals like Best Kept Secret, Sziget and Zwarte Cross, they played huge arenas like the Ziggo Dome where they performed four times in 2022, but they also toured Europe with Nothing But Thieves or with their own smaller headlining shows where they didn't stop until the last visitor became a fan. Rockpalast also broadcast their show at ESNS 2023 on WDR.

Despite all this success, they also take the freedom to experiment with some special projects. For example, they played their debut album on a boat while the tide was changing and organized their own festival: ViceFest. After winning the Pop Stipendium prize of 10,000 euros, the band was able to start expanding the festival internationally. In addition to the big festival in their hometown of Groningen, ViceFest will also take place in London, Antwerp, Budapest and Berlin.

In 2024, the band will begin releasing new music produced by legendary Alt-J and David Guilmor producer Charlie Andrew.

What does the future hold for The Vices? No one knows. Not that it lacks ambition. Beyond that, the stream of ideas and determination these guys have is so endless that it's hard to predict what will happen next.

One thing is for sure: it's about the love for each other and the love for music. Experiencing that together with the people in front of you. Feeling something together. Big rooms, small rooms, moshing or dancing - it doesn't matter. The Vices will knock your socks off with a huge smile!
