In the organizer's words:
Inclusive theater arts. “Theater? I’ve had enough of that!”—some might say. At the Goldbekhaus, however, you can’t get enough of it. Jörn Waßmund, theater educator and director of this inclusive group, introduces participants to theater in a playful way. Through physical and vocal exercises as well as improvisation, the imagination is stimulated and creative abilities are expanded. Little by little, a story takes shape, which is then presented at the end.
theater 36 draws on literary works such as “Romeo and Juliet” or Goethe’s “Faust” for its plays. Or it draws inspiration from social or political topics such as euthanasia in Nazi Germany or the course of life from birth to death.
The ongoing group, consisting of performers with and without complex disabilities, has been in existence since 2008.
