THEATRON 2024: DAS INTERNET, BLUSHY AM + EMILK

In the organizer's words:

The cozy atmosphere and Free admission to the THEATRON MUSIKSOMMER has been attracting numerous visitors to the Seebühne stage in the Olympic Park for years. And the Feierwerk will once again be there for six days in August with a varied live program. So pack your picnic blankets and enjoy the concerts on the steps in front of the Olympic Lake. You'll have the best view of the stage. You can relax and unpack your snack or enjoy the food from the many stalls on the grounds. We look forward to seeing you!

THE INTERNET

The New Wave of the New Wave: DAS INTERNET shows what the future sounds like. Taby Pilgrim (sie/ihr), Peat (all pronouns), Thizzy (er/keine) and Kleinkriminelle (sie/ihr) joined forces in 2023 to give Deutschrap the supergroup it didn't know it needed. All four have been pursuing different careers of their own for years: Peat is not only VBT titleholder for life, but with 3 self-produced albums under his belt, he is now one of the most important voices in the underground when it comes to delivering experimental rap with booming bass. Taby Pilgrim's career began with viral videos on YouTube and has since moved to numerous stages, including together with "Fatoni", "Edgar Wasser", "Juse Ju" and "The TCHIK". Thizzy can also call the rap game home without exaggeration: Having grown up and socialized in the Wiesbaden rap scene, he too has become an integral part of the underground. And for Kleinkriminelle - who is actually the manager of the three artists and a temporary DJ - it was high time to conquer the country's stages anyway. A few joint live shows, collabo tracks and a quick blink were enough - the joint live group was formed. Rap with a hyperpop and hardcore influence, always loud, always angry: welcome to the Internet. BLUSHY AM

BLUSHY AM, officially Kristina Moser, is a singer-songwriter from Munich. With catchy lyrics and bright and colorful music videos, the 29-year-old has catapulted herself into the heart of the Munich music scene. Her style of writing songs already has a clear signature. Using simple metaphors, she manages to convey emotions in her songs with joyful ease. In 2023, she performed live at the c/o Pop Festival in Cologne and at the Oben Ohne Festival on Königsplatz in Munich. (Source: artist info)

EMILK

EMILK is a rapper from near Munich who has increasingly attracted attention with his unique way of writing, playing with words and showing himself personally and vulnerably. After his debut album "die wundervolle welt der büroklammern" (the wonderful world of paperclips), he devoted himself to a phase of experimentation, releasing 10 projects in very different musical guises in the space of just two weeks. Now, together with the Stuttgart-based producer and rapper dæve, his concentration returns. The duo brings out new sides of each other, inspires and challenges each other. In the end, an album - as if cast from a single mold. "ich habe einfach aufgehört zu rennen" is about being alone and the search for community, about the desire to be there for each other and for oneself - and again and again about the search for peace and quiet. There is also room for a celebration of subculture and DIY attitude and for the kind of tongue-in-cheek wordplay that we have come to expect from EMILK. The sound moves between contemporary trap rhythms, old-school vocal samples, housey springtime vibes (without doing it like everyone else) and thoughtful lofi aesthetics. dæve spans an entire musical world. The Stuttgart-based producer has been releasing songs, beats and albums with a love of experimentation and stylistic confidence since 2020. Together with einfachfini, he has been shaking up the Stuttgart hip-hop scene since last year. The album takes up the 1998 film "Run Lola Run" by Tom Tykwer at various points. In the iconic film, a young Franka Potente with fiery red hair runs through Berlin to raise 100,000 marks in 20 minutes in order to save her boyfriend. An allegory for stress and time pressure, for unconditionality and menace, but also for the daily signals that fate gives people.
