THEATRON 2024: KANT, LOBSTERBOMB + BRAINDEAD WAVELENGTH

In the organizer's words:

The cozy atmosphere and Free admission to the THEATRON MUSIKSOMMER has been attracting numerous visitors to the Seebühne stage in the Olympic Park for years. And the Feierwerk will once again be there for six days in August with a varied live program. So pack your picnic blankets and enjoy the concerts on the steps in front of the Olympic Lake. You'll have the best view of the stage. You can relax and unpack your snack or enjoy the food from the many stalls on the grounds. We look forward to seeing you!

The acts

KANT

"KANT is a psychedelic band from the underground music scene in Aschaffenburg. Founded in 2020, the band has quickly established itself as a genre and is known for its intense live performances and amazing soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from the psychedelic alternative scene of the late 60s and 70s, as well as the heavy metal and doom of the 80s and 90s, the band creates a unique sound that combines distorted guitars, pounding drums and swirling melodies with haunting vocals and experimental noise." - Adrian Bang (ZUKUNFT).
They create the soundtrack for the 70s movie in the listener's head. The sound accentuates thoughts of sunny drives across the Sunset Strip of the sixties, a Mexican standoff in a lonely western town or a dark procession in a rainy forest. (Source: Bandinfo)

LOBSTERBOMB

The Berlin band LOBSTERBOMB was founded in 2020 and has been touring all over Germany with their raw and energetic performances ever since. With their mix of self-reflective lyrics and extroverted, loud sounds ranging from indie rock to post-punk, LOBSTERBOMB are always ready to go. Their debut album "Look Out" was released in July 2023 via Duchess Box Records. LOBSTERBOMB are Nico Rosch (vocals, guitar, she/her), Vik Chi (drums, she/her) and Crayon Jones (guitar, vocals, he/him). (Source: Bandinfo)

BRAINDEAD WAVELENGTH

The trio, consisting of Ben, Dani and Alex, formed in fall 2021. In October 2015, the first EP "Lost in Sin" was released in the old formation. Since then, the band has experienced many highs and lows together and this interplay can also be heard on our second album. Also created with the old line-up. The new songs are inspired by topics such as anxiety disorders of modern times, social adaptation, political populism, nostalgia, romance, addiction and spirituality. Musically, you can hear influences from Nirvane, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, just a little more metallic. Or as BRAINDEAD WAVELENGTH themselves say: "Post grunge vibe with a teaspoon of metal and a good splash of melody". (Source: band info)
