THEATRON 2024: RAHEL, DAS KITSCH + ULLA SUSPEKT

The cozy atmosphere and Free admission to the THEATRON MUSIKSOMMER has been attracting numerous visitors to the Seebühne stage in the Olympic Park for years. And the Feierwerk will once again be there for six days in August with a varied live program. So pack your picnic blankets and enjoy the concerts on the steps in front of the Olympic Lake. You'll have the best view of the stage. You can relax and unpack your snack or enjoy the food from the many stalls on the grounds. We look forward to seeing you!

The acts

RAHEL

According to The Gap and Der Tagesspiegel, she is one of Austria's most exciting newcomers. With playful seriousness and an addictive voice, RAHEL is here to stay. In her cosmos, new wave guitars live peacefully alongside dreampop melodies, NDW synths alongside rebellious rock songs. In summer 2021, the young Viennese-by-choice's first single is released - Tapp Tapp Tapp remains in the top 10 of the FM4 charts for several weeks and arouses interest far beyond the country's borders. The second single Hochsommer also made it onto the Musikexpress hotlist. RAHEL celebrates her live debut as support for Paul's Jets and shortly afterwards performs at prime time on the main stage of the Waves Vienna Festival. The songs were created in close collaboration with producer and multi-instrumentalist Raphael Krenn. DAS KITSCH

DAS K ITSCH is a trio that sounds so much fatter than the three-man band on stage looks. You look, listen and are amazed that the other half of the band hasn't turned up, and that the sound isn't rattling out of any jacks. Instead, the lush groove goes straight into your body and the dandy-like dalliance of the lyrics is as straight as an arrow into your head. The guys from back then have grown up, but their exuberance has remained and the soft synths are mixed up by hard-knocking drums that boldly take the rhythm by surprise. The vocals are boyish and melancholy, but a maturity resonates above the tender melancholy: the lyrics conjure up images in your head, the exalted bass plays capers. Everything is playful, but never superficial, the big in the small shows the whole in the broken. And the legs dance! In addition to single releases, they have already released two albums on CD, vinyl and digitally and released their new EP "Wetter" last year. (Source: Booking agency)

ULLA SUSPEKT

ULLA SUSPEKT, producer, bassist and sound artist, embarks on a musical expedition with her band that breaks down the boundaries between NDW, post-punk and fun-punk. They shoot at the patriarchy with the bass and remind us of the absurdity of modern life with misappropriated instruments. An honest look with a pinch of sarcasm and irony. After the release of the EP "U" in summer 2023, the live performance with band is cheeky and performative - there may be some drilling or a noise performance...So be careful and be there at this live event.
