After more than a decade of maturing, the time has come: Thomas D is releasing his new solo album "NEOCORTEX". The title says it all - a journey into the twists and turns of the human mind, logic and deep emotion. While Thomas D has been filling stadiums and writing music history with the Fantastischen Vier for over 36 years, "NEOCORTEX" is his very personal look in the mirror.

Not a remake - all new, all true

In contrast to the previous projects with the Hamburg band The KBCS, in which classics were reinterpreted, all 12 tracks on "NEOCORTEX" are new. Some of the songs have accompanied Thomas over the last 13 years, have been discarded, rethought and now finally completed. The result is a collection of tracks that are as honest, unvarnished and true to life as nothing before in his discography.

The collaboration: soul, spirit and companions

The album was once again the result of an intensive collaboration with The KBCS, who lent the songs an organic, warm and deep foundation of soul and hip-hop vibe. Another highlight is the involvement of Gu, who not only won the hearts of fans on the last tour, but is also represented with his own feature track.

The highlights: From Epilogue to the Legends collaboration

The single "Kurz zu mir" kicks things off on March 27. A song that acts as an epilogue and takes stock of an eventful life - Thomas D unvarnished, so to speak.

On the day of the album release, a sensation follows with "Federleicht": Thomas D collaborates with singer-songwriter legend Reinhard Mey. A song that loses the heaviness of being: "Federleicht".
