A night between depth and global club dialogues. For this edition of tipsy, we're heading to Kowalski - with a line-up that's all about Afro techno. In focus: MEERA, an artist who is currently setting new impulses in this field of tension between soul, percussion and dark harmonies.

Meera's productions and sets are right at the interface between Afro House and Techno - with powerful grooves, deep synths and rhythmic structures that often draw on Latin American or African musical traditions. A sound that unfolds between the genres and is neither classic Afro House nor pure Techno. Afro techno - as an attitude, not as a formula.

Having grown up with house as the background noise, Meera started producing and digging at an early age - her tracks sound like stories made up of many different types of music: World Sounds, Indie Electronics, dark Afro House. Her debut on VOD was followed by support from &ME, Black Coffee, Caiiro, Diplo and Damian Lazarus. Not as hype, but because the sound fits. Deep, playful, uncompromisingly unique.

Whether at Keinemusik or in Ibiza line-ups: Meera is no longer a newcomer, but a fixture of a new wave that thinks Afro club sound differently. Less bold, more textured. Her new collabo with Tripolism was voted an Essential New Tune by Pete Tong - and she's bringing this vibe to Stuttgart this evening.

Also on board: Mary - a sound aesthetic between warmth and space. Her sets open up spaces. Sometimes soft and flowing, sometimes deep and pulsating. Always with a feeling for timing and atmosphere.

Chamelio3000 holds the TURA flag high. House, served raw, packaged technoid. His first EP Ruby has made it onto the playlists of Super Flu, Gespona, Solee and Schlepp Geist. No frills. Just drive.

And this tipsy night is also part of our female headliner series, which has been focusing on female artists whose productions are on rotation worldwide for months. Argia, Elisa Elisa, Hilit Kolet, Shubostar, Tereza, Mila Stern - now Meera.
