In the heart of ancient Egypt, a story of fatal passion and ice-cold murder unfolds on board a majestic Nile steamer. Under the shimmering night sky, the passengers' secrets become a dangerous game with deadly consequences.
Amidst luxury and honeymoon feelings, young couple Simon and Linnet Doyle find themselves accompanied by a sinister shadowy figure, Jacqueline de Bellefort, Simon's past love. When a desperate act of jealousy tears the night apart and a bullet strikes Simon, the River Nile becomes a witness to the chaos.
With the gruesome murder of Linnet and the terrible fate of her maid Louise, the gloomy atmosphere on board thickens. Fear takes hold and the passengers become prisoners of their own mistrust.

"Death on the Nile" is Agatha Christie's 22nd crime novel and was published in Great Britain in 1937. Agatha Christie adapted the novel for the stage herself. The play premiered in London's West End on March 19, 1946 under the title "Murder on the Nile". The film, starring Peter Ustinov, Bette Davis, David Niven, Mia Farrow, Maggie Smith, Jane Birkin and Angela Lansbury, among others, was released in 1978 and became a screen classic! The film won the Oscar for costumes in 1979.
