The Tölz River Film Festival will once again take place in Bad Tölz from September 10 to 13, 2026. The festival brings international travel, nature and outdoor films to the Isar and combines film culture with water sports, nature experience and regional river tradition, embedded in the special atmosphere of the Isar city. Visitors can expect a varied program of film screenings, community events and the traditional Isar regatta of the German Touring Kayak Club (DTKC). The Freunde Historischer Faltboote e.V., the Isarfalter and the Bayerischer Kanu Verband are further partners of the event. The 2026 edition has a special significance due to the dedication to the late water sports enthusiast Ralf Petsching. Adrian Matern, currently one of the best whitewater kayakers in the world, and the well-known filmmaker Olaf Obsommer, who is happy to accompany him, will also be taking part. Toni Grießbach, himself a kayaker, photographer and filmmaker, will enrich the festival with his perspectives and lectures, and Jürgen Eichinger, the well-known nature filmmaker from Bayerischer Rundfunk, and other greats will also be there.
