TOM KLOSE "ALL NIGHT"
For Tom Klose, his new 80's synth-pop hit "All Night" only goes in one direction: forward! For the first time he combines his love for electronic club music a la Daft Punk with his passion for classic songwriting a la John Mayer. The result is a very danceable pop number that represents a clear break in his musical career and finally shows him from a side that was previously rather hidden behind his acoustic guitar. One thing is clear here: an artist is breaking out and doing so with a loud bang, finally expressing his full potential on the broad mainstream music market.
Fittingly, in the accompanying music video, he also debuts as the live entertainer that has always slumbered within him, slipping into the various roles of a Japanese anime-style cartoon band animated by an artificial intelligence. Here, too, he takes the opportunity to combine two aspects of art for which his heart beats faster: live performance and modern Japanese cartoon art. Thematically, his leisure interests aside from music also come in handy here, because as a passionate gamer he is well aware of the gloomy nightlife setting of the "cyberpunk" world, which has significantly influenced the basic mood of the artful video. The result is the visual manifestation of Tom Klose's greatest passions, but also expertise.
