TOSCA IN DER SÜDSTADT – GANZ FREI NACH GIACOMO PUCCINI

Tosca is an opera thriller by Giacomo Puccini, which has an exciting plot to offer alongside high Cs and beautiful music - in comparison, the Sunday evening crime scene is a pony farm.

The famous singer Floria Tosca (Marina Unruh) has a love affair with the painter Mario Cavaradossi (Thomas Heyer). The latter helps Angelotti (Nathan Fischer) to escape from prison. The power-mad police chief Scarpia (Tim Lukas Reuter) also desires Tosca and also wants to find Angelotti - he uses every opportunity to force Tosca to love him using his evil methods. Not only the poison of jealousy is used here, but also real poison. The result: Scarpia is murdered, Cavaradossi is poisoned, Tosca chooses suicide. That's a lot of tragedy for an evening at the opera, but you've never heard such a good-sounding thriller!

Our ensemble, which is engaged at various opera houses in Europe, will accompany you through the story of Tosca and her lover Cavaradossi. This is opera in the Lutherkirche: up close, touchable, laughable and tear-jerkingly beautiful!

Version for 3 singers, 3 actors with good voices, in the original language and a virtuoso pianist with additional German dialog by Marina Unruh and Thomas Heyer, very freely adapted from Giacomo Puccini.
