Transferale Kiezfest: Wissenschaft trifft Kiez
In the organizer's words:
Sewing, tinkering, repairing—and experiencing research along the way. The neighborhood festival centered around the GLASBOX at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences is open to everyone.
On July 1, the GLASBOX at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences will open its doors to everyone and invite neighborhood residents, volunteers, and curious visitors to talk with university representatives and get involved themselves.
The Berlin Fire Department will be on site with an emergency vehicle and will discuss ideas for a crisis-resilient city. The “Climate Pavilion” demonstrates how sustainable construction creates climate-friendly retreats. In the Open Workshop, you can tinker, repair, and experiment, and a hands-on course will teach repair skills. Other Berlin-based organizations such as Weltacker e.V. and Global Goals for Berlin will introduce themselves—and starting at 7 p.m., the day will wind down with live music.
Come by, join in, and help shape the event!
