ATTENTION: UPDATE

Dear people,

Our team and apparently a number of music fans out there love the Swedish band Tribe Friday and are looking forward to the show on 18.4. in Hall D. Unfortunately, advance sales have fallen far short of expectations, so in order not to have to cancel the band, we have looked for another solution. We are opening our doors on 18.04. for a pay-what-you-can show. We're also going one better and offering you Nikita Curtis as a support band to go with the deal.

Tickets already purchased can be refunded by sending an email to info@werk-2.de.

Let's have a great evening together, because emo is not a phase.

Tribe Friday is a band of guitar-wielding emo kids from the forests of Sweden who combine the gruff indie rock dancehall sounds of the early 2000s with the post-pandemic party bliss of Generation Z. Upbeat songs about self-irony, identity, confusion, love and death are carried by sarcasm, wit and charm.

The band's debut EP, "Trying Your Luck", was released digitally and on limited edition 7-inch vinyl in August 2019 and was accompanied by concerts in Europe with rock legends Mando Diao and shows in front of sold-out houses in Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York City. The release was highly praised by trendsetters such as The World Famous KROQ, Spotify's Indie Highlights and the UK's Radio X. In 2020, Tribe Friday visited the US West Coast for the first time during GRAMMY Week before returning to New York to release their new single "Talk So Loud" at the legendary Mercury Lounge. The second EP entitled "Chasing Pictures" followed in March.

Despite the global pandemic, the band played more than 50 shows in Germany and Sweden, with shows at Reeperbahn Festival, SXSW in Austin, Texas, Live At Heart Festival, Nürnberg Pop, Melodifestivalen and many more.

Their debut album "Hemma" was released in October 2024. It receives enthusiastic reviews and double-page interviews in Visions and Classic Rock magazine. Outside of their inner circle, the band has co-written with Aaron Gillespie of emo legends Underoath, Christo Bowman of Bad Suns and Phil Gornell, producer for All Time Low and Bring Me The Horizon.

A headlining tour in Germany in fall 2023 was followed by a tour in the UK with Wheatus' Teenage Dirtbags. The band had found a live cover of their hit from Tribe Friday on YouTube and invited the band to join them. In April, the young band will go on tour with Mother Mother in Scandinavia before taking their explosive and colorful show to Germany, Switzerland, the UK, the US and beyond.
