A contemporary resilience ritual for rubber dummies
Performance art expresses powerful voices at the interface of design, physical medium and narrative - Bande á Part - Tanzbare Veranstaltung für Außenseiter*innen makes them heard. The dance and performance series is a creative space for performers, an open field of experimentation that the artists use to give voice to their expressive strengths - from choreography and movement vocabulary to the art of language. Our next issue tells of a razor-sharp commentary on art and the body as a combat zone - the curtain falls on June 16, 2026 for the performance TRIGGERWARNUNG.
Trigger Warning 1: Art Entertainment (Mariola Brillowska)
Everything is a story. Mariola Brillowska suffers from fabularism - a pronounced, self-diagnosed and untreatable storytelling compulsion. The artist moderates and presents her garish animated images with biting commentary, radio play sketches full of bizarre characters and spoken poetry songs about love and a broken world. Role models are turned upside down, trash aesthetics play with political satire.

This ritual could go against common expectations of what resilience means today.
What happens to the perpetrator-victim reversal when I honor it?
Why should I assert myself when I can surrender just as well?
How much tantra can a boxing dummy actually withstand?
And how can you defend yourself against 62 million clicks?
V3 makes her body available as a combat zone in which physical self-determination meets philosophical superiority. A trigger? Perfect. We use it to massage ourselves internally, loosen up and free our thought habits from their stories.

About the performers:
Mariola Brillowska is a visual media and performance artist, author, director, professor, grew up in Poland, novel "Hausverbot" 2013; several film, poetry and radio play awards, including Grand Prix Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen 1991, ARD PinBall 2014, Adrienne der Hörspielkritik 2019, Zonta Award 2024 .

Veruschka Bohn (V3) develops performances and conceptual art, often in close collaboration with collectives such as Humatic and Pussy Riot. Her works anchored in public space have received international recognition, including prestigious awards and exhibitions at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts. A graduate of HfG Offenbach, she lives and works in Berlin and Brandenburg.

Since 2011, Bande á Part has been a creative space for performers, an open field of experimentation for artistic self-realization. The innovative series sets an example for independent art and playfully embraces the outsider position of independent creative projects: Outsiders are renowned artists who perceive and enrich the experimental freedom of development; at the same time, they are emerging artists who realize, try out and further develop themselves in the series.
Contrary to fixed choreographic and conceptual frameworks, Bande á Part represents a platform that does not require fixed genre definitions, but rather provides a framework for orientation through contemporary dance and performance. Instead of adaptation and subordination, artistic development, the exploitation and testing of one's own artistic potential takes precedence. It's time for experiments!
