Director Andreas Voigt has won numerous awards for his six "Leipzig films". The series, which was created between 1986 and 2015, now comprises six long documentaries. Beginning in the days of the GDR, it tells the life stories and fates of people in Leipzig over a period of 30 years. It is now one of the most important documents in recent German film history and is internationally renowned. The sixth episode, "Alles andere zeigt die Zeit", premiered in 2015. Here, the viewer meets some of the protagonists who were still teenagers at the time, during the years of reunification. What has become of them?
