HADAL

Works by Olga Neuwirth, Dieter Ammann, Matthias S. Krüger, Isabel Mundry, Beat Furrer and Thomas Wally

Starting with Akroate Hadal - a fantasy creature related to the vampire squid penned by Louis Bec - the Viennese ensemble LUX takes us into the shallows of contemporary string quartet literature. In this musical zone we encounter a selection of other imagined creatures: some capricious and brutal, others playful and gentle. In this abyssal habitat there is eternal night. But this night is full of sounds, filled with color rays and tones. "An eternal play of color and sound, a "son et lumière" of extraordinary richness."
