With piano miniatures, the Berlin pianist Jan Gerdes presents a solo program of short piano pieces or miniatures, which, through the immediate succession of the most diverse compositions, allows their aesthetic and stylistic differences and the accompanying manifold acoustic impressions to collide directly. These quick cuts can surprise or irritate, sometimes allowing the listener to recognize what connects or separates them, thus opening up new listening perspectives in a lively and pleasurable way.
