Urban Green: Practice Neckarpark – Fassadenbegrünung und „Essbare Stadt“

What's happening?

"Urban Green" stands for the integration of green spaces into urban areas in order to improve the quality of life and at the same time counteract the negative effects of climate change. This means that parks, green roofs, façade greening and vertical gardens can reduce heat islands, improve air quality and also promote biodiversity. All measures will play an important role in climate adaptation in our cities in the future.

Due to rapid climate change, it is urgently necessary to adapt and restructure our cities. Local authorities cannot achieve improvements in air quality and health in cities on their own. For this reason, urban society is called upon to make a necessary contribution to urban climate and climate adaptation, especially in urban redevelopment, private renovation and new construction. Architects, urban planners and landscape architects have an important advisory and planning role to play here. The FÜNF Stuttgart chamber groups are planning a multi-part series of events in Stuttgart in 2026 to support their members. 12.06.2026
