Urban Street Art Tour: Cycling through the city
ADFC - Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club Ortsverein Bremerhaven e. V.

After a brief introduction to the topic of street art and an overview of its history - both worldwide and specifically in Bremerhaven - our joint bike tour begins. Over a distance of around 13 to 15 kilometers, we will visit around 50 works of art in public spaces: graffiti, reliefs, mosaics, sgraffiti and 3D works.

The tour takes us through various parts of the city with a focus on Geestemünde, the city center and Lehe - especially through the Goethequartier. At the individual stops, there is interesting information about the creation of the works, the artists and the respective backgrounds - if known.

Graffiti: Formerly a very controversial topic in many places, including Bremerhaven, but now appreciated in many places as so-called "urban art". The Goethequartier in Bremerhaven is particularly well known for its huge graffiti. But there are also remarkable and extremely diverse examples of street art in many other places.

The tour ends in the southern Goethequartier.

Duration: approx. 2.5 hours
