The Australian band Vacations originally started out as a solo DIY project by singer Campell Burns. But then, as so often happens, everything turned out differently and Vacations immediately became a global sensation. With Burns as the driving force and the other band members Jake Johnson, Nate Delizzotti and Joseph Van Lier, the Australians began their journey as a band.
In the first two years, they immediately released two EPs that established a fresh sound in indie pop and proved their authenticity. This was followed by two albums that cemented the band's status as Australia's indie darlings. Their hit "Young" was awarded gold status in several countries and even platinum status in the USA. "Telephones" also went platinum in the USA at the end of 2023. With over 1.5 billion streams worldwide, the band can confidently be called a global phenomenon that regularly conquers the charts. With regular TV appearances such as on Jimmy Kimmel's Late Night Show or CBS Saturday Morning, the band has also proven that their joking self-description as "Australia's best boyband" is entirely justified.
But Vacations have also won a firm place in the hearts of their fans with their now legendary live shows. Their wild and infectious energy on stage has earned them major festival appearances at Austin City Limits, All Things Go and Laneways Festival. In addition to a UK tour, the band has played three completely sold-out US tours since 2022, where the crowds have been getting bigger and bigger. And this is all too understandable: with Vacations, audiences are not only treated to good music, but a guaranteed long-lasting experience.
In January 2024, Vacations released their third studio album "No Place Like Home" - and were promptly named "Artists to Watch 2024" by Pandora. The album's driving sound is a direct continuation of their previous works and whets the appetite for adventure, fun, summer and, of course, new concerts by Vacations. The good news: these new concerts are already on the horizon! Vacations are bringing their explosive stage energy to Germany in May for four exclusive concerts.
