The evening "In the footsteps of Socrates and Leonard Nelson" invites you on a search for traces through
landscapes of thought. The focus is on the Socratic method - that questioning,
clarifying conversation that began over two thousand years ago in the alleyways of HELLAS (Athens) and was
and was revived as a philosophical practice by Leonard Nelson in the 20th century.
Socrates did not set out doctrines. He did not collect answers. He asked questions. And he stayed with the question,
until it became clear what was really meant.
Leonard Nelson took up this approach and turned it into a method of thinking together:
a conversation that does not convince, but tests; that does not instruct, but exposes, that step by step
step by step to get to the bottom of one's own assumptions. The evening follows this trail: from Socrates in the alleys of
alleys of HELLAS to the present day. Not as a lecture, but as an audio-visual approach that invites you to
