Guided tour "Interwoven traces, polyphonic stories: Black and female perspectives in (post)colonial memory"

Duisburg-based Naomi Dibu and Miriam Monsemvula will guide you through the exhibition "ÜBERSEeHEN. In search of (post)colonial traces in Duisburg". The focus is on black and female perspectives on colonial entanglements and their after-effects up to the present day.
Visitors are invited to adopt new perspectives. What role did women play in colonialism? And what is the perspective of Black women from Duisburg? The tour is a polyphonic invitation to look, question and remember together.

"Überseehen" was conceived by the Center for Remembrance Culture and focuses on Duisburg's (post)colonial history. The exhibition will be on display until January 2027 after a renovation break (December 1, 2025 to March 14, 2026).
